Small but mighty: Drake scores more Pacemaker finalists than any school in the country.
The Electronic Media capstone has produced its first of 12 newscasts this semester. Begun in 1993, the Spring Semester offering primarily involves seniors in Radio-Television Producing and Broadcast News, but students in other classes contribute content and other skills.
The Times-Delphic also won first place for general excellence. Senior Ann Schnoebelen won three first-place writing awards. The awards covered work published in 2010-11, under Editor Lizzie Pine.
Abbey Klaassen, editor of Advertising Age and a 2002 graduate of Drake University, will visit campus Wednesday, February 1, as part of the E.T. Meredith Center for Magazine Studies Visiting Professionals Series.
For the third year in a row, Drake Advertising Students have won an ADDY Award in the American Advertising Federation of Des Moines ADDY Award Competition.
